Who are we and how did we get here?

The Mouse House is husband and wife team, Dan and Sal Germain. Sal left further education and went straight into typesetting, around the same time Dan moved from Manchester to Banbury and began working as a camera operator and paste-up artist.

Sal moved upwards in the world of typesetting, eventually working on national advertising campaigns and prestigeous bookwork. Dan became a final film planner, producing final film sets for high quality full colour printing including book jackets. He moved back to Manchester and around 1992 started work at Speedlith Photolitho where Sal was working.

In late 1994 they began putting together a small printing business which started trading in January 1995. As the business grew, we kept investing in better equipment and improving our skills, in 2000 we had the opportunity to move from Timperley into Hale. The following years saw us invest in a Heidelberg press and CTP (computer-to-plate) technology, and 7 years ago introduce website design to our services. More recently digital printing and wide-format printing

Both are keen music fans and try to attend live events in Manchester regularly, other interests include film and, when work allows, travel. Dan is also a keen motorcyclist and tries to fit in a couple of trackdays each year and along with Sal, a few trips to The Nurburgring in Germany.
